But from April 1, 2022 it has been forbidden to market e-cigarettes and e-liquid with a dominant aroma that is not tobacco or menthol. In addition, products must be approved by the Danish Safety Technology Authority, which becomes impossible if they contain flavors other than tobacco and menthol. Furthermore, e-liquid must have a nicotine content of no more than 20 mg, and products with a larger amount are illegal in both Denmark and the rest of the EU. Additionally, e-cigarettes, including Puff Bars, must not contain more than 2 ml of e-liquid. International suppliers must also be approved by the Danish Safety Technology Authority before they can import to Denmark, and they can only ship approved products.

Product safety is also a priority. All e-cigarette products, including disposable versions like Elf Bar, must have some form of child safety. But many of these products are not secured in this way, as they cannot be turned on or off and are activated merely by inhaling.
